Royalwood Irish linen thread

Does anyone use it and if so what ply do you use?? They don't give any other measurements that I can find other than the number of plys.

Any help would be appreciated.

I would like to know this as well I'm after a thread that is about 1mm thick and I can't tell from the samples they show. I would like to go for their $50 wholesale order but don't want to order that much only to find it's the wrong size.

Why don't you order yourself one of those sample cards they have for a couple dollars? They clearly show the diameters of different ply counts. Then there will be no guesswork.

I'm not sure what thread weight you are looking for, but bookbinding supply firms seem to carry smaller quantities of waxed and un-waxed linen thread. Have a look at this link. http://www.hollanders.com/supplies/BrowseC...e0-b59817669dc6

i just recieved an order from royalwood i ordered the 3ply, the same size i had ordered from mainethread.com but it was much smaller than the maine 3ply almost need the 7ply to equal maines 3 ply. mainthread is not lineni it is polyester.

but i figured i would mention in case you had used maintrhead before.
