I just finished a large steampunk rhinoceros mask and wanted to share it with you all. It is made of 5-6 oz veg tan with cold cast aluminum metal parts.

Best, Tom

Thats really wild.  Looks like some things I have seen from Thailand.  Where did you get your idea/inspiration?

Thanks! I've been making steampunk gas masks for awhile and wanted to try some animal masks with the same look.

It weighs 2.6 lb. The horns are hollow.

Hi Tom. I am beginning to play around with mask and after seeing your amazing piece I would like to pick your brain for some tips. I made a skull mask last year and covered it with a bazillion layers of acrylic resolene (I had three layers on it but as I wore it during a parade my sweat started coming through). It still has a bit of a smell to it unfortunately even after all this time. What do you use on the inside of your masks to help prevent sweat seeping into your mask?
