Members Matt S Posted June 2, 2016 Members Report Posted June 2, 2016 Hot off the bench in the early hours this morning. Bakers london tan bridle shoulder for the front, back and straps. Belly for the gusset and internal pocket. Will fit an A4 binder (the original brief). All seams hand stitched @7SPI. I usually do the strap ends at a finger pitch but picked up the 7 iron out of habit and didn't notice until too late. Quote
bikermutt07 Posted June 2, 2016 Report Posted June 2, 2016 Looking good. Quote I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later.... I have a belt I can finally live with. Stitching is like gravy, it's only great if you make it every day. From Texas but in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Members Matt S Posted June 2, 2016 Author Members Report Posted June 2, 2016 The reversed buckle was rectified before it went to the recipient. Quote

Expand I'm sorry but I don't quite understand the question. The leather is London tan (colour) bridle-finish. Pit veg tanned, brush-dyed and then hand curried with dubbin. I suspect it goes through some sort of roller press to slick it at some point. Quote
bikermutt07 Posted June 3, 2016 Report Posted June 3, 2016 I understand. Auto correct is a pain in the butt. I had asked if it was pre finished and then auto correct thought I was stupid. Sorry. Looks beautiful. Quote I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later.... I have a belt I can finally live with.
