thunter9 Report post Posted June 14, 2016 I'm trying to find sheep skin with 1/2 " nap not what is being used for saddle lining . what I find is what is used in the ortho field or in the hosp. for sores ect. this stuff has a 1 inch nap. what I'm looking for is what was used in sheep skin coats. any help will HELP thank you folks Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Troy I Report post Posted June 14, 2016 The only Sheep Skin that I have used is from Wickett & Craig...the nap is 1+ inches...what I do is trim the wool with, my dog's electric hair trimmer to the length I need... it works ok, but is time consuming if the wool is thick. Goldshot Ron Report post Posted June 14, 2016 Try calling International Sheepskin and Leather in Commerce, CA. 323-588-1818. They have a website also. I use their fleece for saddles, but they carry a full line of sheepskin. They wholesale to many of the suppliers that leatherworkers use. They have a no minimum policy.
