Members Chief Filipino Posted June 17, 2016 Members Report Posted June 17, 2016 Hi everybody! So I finally finished a mask I was working on! It has some room for improvement but I really love it! Members bob21804 Posted June 18, 2016 Members Report Posted June 18, 2016 That's awesome. Love it. I have a couple really cool, old wooden Tibetan masks hanging on my walls, that I occasionally think about wet-forming leather over, to reproduce. (Another aspect of leatherwork for me to learn about). Quote
Members Chief Filipino Posted June 18, 2016 Author Members Report Posted June 18, 2016 That is a great idea! Although I personally would worry that the Tibetan masks would get ruined over repeated use. Maybe you have another mask that you could use that isn't so old or unique? It would probably be a one time project, or a few at most, and I'd cover it with plastic wrap before applying the wet leather. At least that's how I imagine I'd proceed with it. bikermutt07 Posted June 20, 2016 Report Posted June 20, 2016 It reminds me of the mask Ogun wore in the original wolverine comic. Quote I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later.... I have a belt I can finally live with. Stitching is like gravy, it's only great if you make it every day. From Texas but in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Members Chief Filipino Posted June 22, 2016 Author Members Report Posted June 22, 2016 You're right it does! I had to look that up because I didn't know who Ogun is lol. Maybe I should have called it Ogun instead of Draugr. Quote Halo-Halo Creations your home of culturally inspired handmade leather, calligraphy, and more. http://tinyurl.com/hhcreations
