Members Kevin Posted December 26, 2008 Members Report Posted December 26, 2008 The last elephant I saw before the ban was an ear and it looked like an ear too. I haven't seen any since its legal again, so I don't know if its sold that way or not. Oops, wrong Kevin Quote
Members DCKNIVES Posted December 26, 2008 Members Report Posted December 26, 2008 It's sold by the square foot and the price varies due to market conditions,so you would have to call them. They are great people and supply many of the leather shops around the county.Dave here's a look at some of the hides and colors Quote
Kevin King Posted December 27, 2008 Report Posted December 27, 2008 I have only purchased it from springfiled leather. I bought just about all they had so its lasted me quite a while. Van Amburg sells some also. They are pretty pricey though. They do have split elephant as well. They split it, then emboss to look like elephant again. I have never used the split stuff but sounds kinda wierd to me. Elephant embossed elephant. There are others out there, just gotta keep searchin bro. Hope this helps KK Quote

Hope this helps KK I just bought a elephant trunk from springfield leather also. But be prepared to spend some cash. The piece I bought was 130 bucks but is enough to build a couple of large items. They had quite a few to chose from. Quote
