Tempted to buy one, but never got round to it yet. I went to these also. Works great. I use brushes like those metal ones pictured... fits under the lid so it will close and lasts a good while (I do pitch em on occasion). Larger brush will fit in there for larger projects, too. Members billybopp Posted July 13, 2017 Members Report Posted July 13, 2017 How well do these pots keep glue over longer periods of time? As a hobbyist, I don't use glue all that quickly - would it evaporate and get thick before I get through it? Or would it be better to just keep in the can for that situation? Bill Quote

Like many I use normal acid/flux brushes though I have to fold a half inch of the handle down to fit under the lid. Quote

Bill I just buy squeeze bottles (like old style plastic ketchup bottles) from cheap shops. Once you have a cap for the top your glue wont dry out. It's also easy to apply the amount of you require and where you need it. I'm a flooring contractor by trade and use gallon's and gallon's of contact adhesive each year. Ger. Quote
Jimmy McLaughlin Posted July 15, 2017 Report Posted July 15, 2017 Hi All I like the glue pot that is pictured above On 7/13/2017 at 8:14 AM, kncorey said: I've recently started using the glue pot I found at Busy Bee Tools. I ditched the wooden brush and use the smaller ones pictured below that I found at Canadian Tire. They are cheap enough to be disposable, but the glue pot does such a great job at keeping air out that the brush so far after two weeks is still great. Very happy with this set up. http://www.busybeetools.com/products/glue-container.html http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/pintar-utility-brushes-6-pk-0490670p.html#srp I like it very much and is cheap compared to the others that look similar to the one pictured above. The problem with it is the shipping, for me anyway. They want $20 just for shipping. That is twice the cost of the glue pot. I need to find one in my area. If not I will keep the glue in the can it came. Thank you for the information. Jim Quote
