Members T Moore Medicine Hat Saddlery Posted August 30, 2016 Members Report Posted August 30, 2016 I am looking for ideas on a tree that would be a combination of the wade or meanea type with the addition of swells easily covered without a welt. A using type rig without the need of bucking rolls Seems like there ought to be one out there already without trying to reinvent the wheel. Any suggestions Quote
Members Tosch Posted September 12, 2016 Members Report Posted September 12, 2016 Since you have not receive an answer yet, you may want to click on this link http://saddleblog.blogspot.ch/2010/01/swade-saddle.html and have a look at what Steve Mason calls a swade saddle tree and describes as a wade with swells. Hope this helps. Quote
Northmount Posted September 13, 2016 Report Posted September 13, 2016 Take a look at Rod Nikkel's site. They have retired from tree making, but have left the site up as a resource for all to use. You might find some of your answers there. http://www.rodnikkel.com/content/pictures-of-trees/ Tom Quote
Members Ken Nelson Posted September 13, 2016 Members Report Posted September 13, 2016 If you want a swell fork saddle, any tree maker will make you one. When you add swells, you no longer have a Wade. A wade type seat can be put in any saddle though. Most swell fork saddles have a higher gullet than Wades do but some of the roper trees with some swell are pretty low. Best of Luck. Ken Quote
