Stewart Report post Posted December 13, 2016 I have been changing the style of my tooling. This is what is developing and tooling and painting are still a hit and miss thing. As this became more of a hobby , I still can do wallets and such, I get more satisfaction out of doing them

VTleather09 Report post Posted December 16, 2016 Hey there, I am COMPLETELY on the same page as you. I have had such a journey with leather crafting during the short year I have been doing it, and only now am I starting to find my style. I have been carving and tooling my original figure drawings onto small pieces of leather and my plan is to hand them out to friends for Christmas. I ,too, can still make hunting pouches, belts, collars, sheaths and wallets, but I am really enjoying carving, tooling and painting figures and patterns on to pieces of leather that may not destined for gestalt. Stewart Report post Posted December 17, 2016 (edited) V, Thanks. What We did with Christmas cards was to put book markers in side them. The ones that slip over the corner. What responses we had . I took a different style than my Mentor. Which he is happy with. So all is good !! Edited December 17, 2016 by Stewart
