Coffee Sleeve - A good beginners project

Recommended Posts

An easy project for newbies to practice, and functional too!

All you need is a take away coffee cup that you can use to cut down into a template. Then some leather, eyelets, and some sort of lace to make a sliding knot or some bungee cord.

You can do all sorts of tooling or whatever, but I like to keep mine simple with just my makers mark. :)

good idea on the bungee cord, never would have thought of that. I either stitch or lace the ones I do but might try the bungee cords

Even better if you can get a toggle and end stopper, rather than tying a knot like i did...

Some boot lace hooks and a hair tie work really nicely too :)

So true! I make heaps of these from the offcuts when i put a straight edge on a hide or double shoulder.

Nice work! And thank you for burnishing the edges, even though its a simple project let's dress it up and make it look nice! :) It bugs me when I see expensive leather items going out with raw edges.
