Members Josh Ashman Posted January 4, 2017 Members Report Posted January 4, 2017 I'm going to guess it's a 8-32 T nut on the holster body, then an external tooth lock washer between the loop and the holster then the base of the snap screwed down with a 8-32 button head screw. You can get the hardware online from McMaster Carr or from a decently stocked hardware store. I'm really guessing on the button head screw. I don't, or at least haven't yet had cause, to screw down the base of a line 24 snap. Plenty of folks do it and would know exactly what size and type of screw will fit. All the best, Josh Quote

Members chiefjason Posted January 5, 2017 Members Report Posted January 5, 2017 I find 6/32 machine head screws fit into the line 24 and pull the dot snap better. The trick is getting the screw to sink into the snap. If it does not, the snap does not want to close correctly. 8/32 just seemed to have more problems closing for me, the were flush but not countersunk. I started using screws because the dot snaps are taller than 24's and I just bought the snap parts, not the base with post. Quote
Members OLDNSLOW Posted January 23, 2017 Members Report Posted January 23, 2017 I use a line 24 pull the dot snap with a screw and use the 8/32 with a flat head, you might want to experiment with the different sizes to see what works best for you. Most everything except the snap can be bought at Lowes or Home Depot. I by the pull the dot at 100 of each part , I just got a sale flier from Weaver that had some snaps on sale at a great price whole sale. Quote
