Randy Kildow Report post Posted March 3, 2017 I am going to help a friend set this machine up... What machine is this and what needle system?
brmax Report post Posted March 3, 2017 (edited) Not sure! May be a tag on the bottom side when carefully tilted back. You may have to remove the needle and use a magnifyer, yet recall how it is installed. It looks to be a clone to Juki 1181 possibly, but cannot be sure. Im sure some Singers as they all clone form them quite a bit. Possible similarities: Techsew 0302, or Reliable 3200 It may have an oil pump or may not thats noteable. Yetibelle Report post Posted March 3, 2017 That looks to be in good shape. I wonder how it lost its label? http://www.camsew.com.au/BudgetMachines/walking_foot2.html
dikman Report post Posted March 3, 2017 Whatever it is it looks to be in very good condition. On the upper right of the body are two holes, maybe where the label was (or is supposed to go?).
JimTimber Report post Posted March 3, 2017 What's odd is that the riveted plates have been removed, but the warning sticker remains. I took the warning stickers off mine before I ever put thread in it.
Randy Kildow Report post Posted March 4, 2017 This is the way it came out of the box brand new..Box had never been opened...no plates.... no tags....no book etc... nothing written on the box...just in plastic bag and styrofoam made for it container... The owners deceased husband purchased the machine right before he became ill... The gentleman was somewhat of a collector (hoarder) of different craft and leather (new not vintage) tools. She has no clue where he bought it or how much it cost.... I will figure it out....She wants to use it...
SolarLeatherMachines Report post Posted March 4, 2017 That looks like our CB-6700, our medium duty walking foot machine. A very nice machine, one of my favorites. Very easy to set up and works really well for materials up to 3/8" leather. If you get a nice servo motor and a nice speed reducer, you'll have one very nice leather sewing machine for wallets, dog collars, book covers, and a whole bunch of other things. He probably bought it off ebay from a white label seller, but who knows.
