Members Parott1 Posted March 4, 2017 Members Report Posted March 4, 2017 (edited) What would cause the top thread to break on a 441 clone ONLY when making a turn? The timing seems to be in check. The needle seems A bit close to the presser foot. I've tried new needles, but I get the same result every time Edited March 4, 2017 by Parott1 Quote
Members brmax Posted March 4, 2017 Members Report Posted March 4, 2017 Sure looks like the foot is to close to me. On a side note, around the needle hole could use some careful sanding to form a smooth radius as the needle enters. It may be a good time to remove the cover to better see the hook clearence, also timing. Im gonna say ya have to remove the fee dog to best get accurate look at clearence in this situation. Good day Floyd Quote
