Betty Report post Posted January 29, 2008 Hi everyone, I'm new to forums. I just wanted to pop in and let everyone know that I am Harry Adams' oldest daughter and I am now in charge of the distribution of his book the Saddlemaker's Shop Manual. Please email me if you would like more information or you are interested in ordering a copy of the manual. Thanks for you time. Betty
ClayB Report post Posted January 29, 2008 Hi Betty and welcome to the forum. We're glad to have you here. The Saddle Maker's Shop Manual is a book that a lot of people have recommended as a really good source for people wanting to learn to build saddles. I have a copy, and I know a lot of the saddle makers here do too. I am sure there will be others that will want to contact you a get a copy. I hid your email address behind your name so you wont get spammed, but people can still find it there if they want to get a hold of you. Clay
bruce johnson Report post Posted January 30, 2008 Betty, Many thanks for joining us here. also for advertising the book again. As Clay said, many of us refer to it. For a while it was hard to find where to refer people to who were looking of it. A good resource.
ArtS Report post Posted January 30, 2008 I recommend it. It's my favorite saddle book and it stays out on the bench! ArtS
Betty Report post Posted January 30, 2008 (edited) Thank you Clay, I appreciate your help. I glad all of you are enjoying your book. I know it makes my father happy to know his knowledge and skills are still out there helping others. He was a great artist and teacher, he really had a lot to offer, and it's sad he had to leave us so soon. I'll be here to get this book out to all those who are wanting it. Johanna Report post Posted January 30, 2008 Just to clarify- Betty is selling a book by her dad, Harry Adams, called "The Saddlemaker's Shop Manual". This book is considered a classic favorite for anyone wanting to make a living with a saddle shop. Email or PM Betty directly by clicking her name above, and choosing from the options. LW has no connection or interest in the sales of these books, other than to let people know this is a book worth the money. Johanna
