Members indypbear Posted January 31, 2008 Members Report Posted January 31, 2008 Kevin, Looks great as usual. What machine do you stitch with? I'd love to see the process step by step sometime. I'm designing and making banjos straps and want to add a piece on each end with a treble cleft stitched into the center with a border stitch which is the reason for my question. Indy Quote
Russ Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 That was a nice tutorial, I wish I'd kept it rather than just bookmarking it That and the "favorite suppliers" thread......... Nice work Kevin, as always. Russ I did a tute before the LW meltdown. If I can find the time, i'll see what I can come up with. I was also wanting to put together a woodgrain howto, if anyone would be interested in that.KK Quote

esantoro Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 Nice work. It would be great for someone to put up a tutorial of how to take an intricate design, transfer it to leather, and then cut it out, if such is not available elsewhere. Indy I use a juki 1541 and love it. The only thing I wish I had was a roller foot machine, that would make things just a bit easier and quicker. I have been asked alot about how I transfer the designs and maybe, you never know, I may put something together. But for now, I am still perfecting my technique and at the moment keeping it as my trade secret. I can tell you this much though, It is VERY simple. If I told you, you would groan and say "thats it?" and "why the hell didnt I think of that". I never get tired of hearing the nice things you all have to say. Thanks very much! This software is used to recover deleted files or files from corrupted hard disks. ed Quote http://www.waldenbags.com http://www.waldenbags.etsy.com
