Members Sofaspud Posted May 14, 2017 Members Report Posted May 14, 2017 Just finished this sleeve for a Mother's Day gift for my wife. This is the second sleeve I've made. I think it's a big improvement over the first one. I used 8/9 oz. leather. The handle is molded Kydex with 2/3 oz. wrapped around it and attached with rapid rivets. It is much sturdier than the all leather handle on my first attempt. The next one I make I will try reinforcing it with molded raw hide. I welcome any comments or suggestions. Quote

bikermutt07 Posted May 14, 2017 Report Posted May 14, 2017 Great job. Quote I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later.... I have a belt I can finally live with. Stitching is like gravy, it's only great if you make it every day. From Texas but in Bossier City, Louisiana.
