Pfaff 335 binding attachment on Seiko CW-8b(consew 227)

Ok I've searched as much as I could but can't find the answe so I gotta ask. I found this pfaff 335 binding attachment plate and then matching 90 degree binder.  I need something quick to start a binding project. 

 

I know the the best route is an attachment company but I need to do this asap and then will wait on the attachment company. Does anyone see any reason this pfaff attachment plate wouldn't fit my seiko?

i am ok with modifying it but thought this a better starting option that someone trying to make all from steel. There are many home made binders I've seen and thats all I'm trying to duplicate. No inside corners and will do it very slow and watch each stitch.

I have both machine (style), i dont think the binder parts for pfaff 335 style will work on the seiko cw8 

Or maybe someone with more experience on tinkering sewing machine can shed some more light

I'm afraid almost nothing form that Pfaff 335 binding kit will fit on a Consew 227. The cylinder arms are totally different. The off-the-shelf binder you're looking for will be similar to this KHF-48 style binder made by Kwok Hing for large diameter cylinder arm swing machines.(http://www.kwokhing.com/KHF/app/app_bi_cy.htm)

One thing about off-the-shelf binders in general, assuming you find one to mount on your Seiko, is they are usually made to accept pretty thin materials, and wont feed or fold properly if you go to a bit thicker or wider material than their design specs....some don't ever seem to work well even then. The folders from Suisei have a good reputation for off-the-shelf functionality. One of the advertisers here may handle them, or you can call Sailrite to see about a rush purchase. You WILL need to tell them what you are using it with, if you can use an in inline or need a right angle folder, if its for single "raw edge" tape or double fold/bias/straight fabric, how thick the tape and material to be bound is, and how wide the tape you want to use is. You also may need the correct feet/feed dog and needle plates, depending on what you are trying to do. Assembling random folder components which will produce professional grade results for demanding clients can be.....problematic. Good luck!

The main thing that sold me was that they said yes. We can make it work. And that's what I couldn't figure out before talking with them.

John Price at Atlanta Att. is one of the most knowledgeable folder guys I've ever dealt with. Their folders are works of art.

if you dont mind, how much it cost to make custom folder like that on dedicated and well known company like atlanta attachement?
