Thanks, I appreciate the nice comment.  I assume you're talking about guitar straps, I use templates from Black River Laser, they help keep me consistent and accurate although I tailor the length and other attributes as necessary to provide the customer with a custom fit.  I would recommend you get a template from BRL, they make great products.
