Members eatonjar Posted July 17, 2017 Members Report Posted July 17, 2017 I made some leather armor and now I am getting some white residue on it. I'm not sure if it is mold or what. I have not had this problem with any of my other leather items. Any ideas on what it is or how to get rid of it? I used neatsfoot oil, Eco-Flo Professional Waterstain, mink oil, and sno proof Thank you for your help Quote
Members zuludog Posted July 17, 2017 Members Report Posted July 17, 2017 It could be the leather grease that has come to the surface and dried. Just try polishing it off Quote
Members Matt S Posted July 17, 2017 Members Report Posted July 17, 2017 Yeah it looks like bloom/spue -- excess waxes and greases working their way out of the leather. Quite normal and no harm. What preparation of leather is it? Quote
Members Sanch Posted July 19, 2017 Members Report Posted July 19, 2017 Oxcalic acid solution will get it gone. Quote
