Tpc Report post Posted July 18, 2017 Hi All, I have been leatherworking for about a year now, and decided to treat myself to some English Bridle Butt to make a couple of belts. I probably bought this too soon in my journey considering the cost but hey ho. My question is about the tallow on the surface. It seems very suborn to polish off. Should I heat it a little with a hair dryer ? Also I usually use carnauba cream on other items I have made, should I apply this to bridle? Old tshirts work best IME and the price is right. Where did you get your bridle from? If you aren't going to use it all any time soon, consider cutting a few extra blanks and selling them on eBay, Etsy or here to offset some of the cost of buying the stuff.
