Members lostcaggy Posted October 2, 2017 Members Report Posted October 2, 2017 I've just started making a couple of leather wallets and was trying to bevel the edges. I slipped a couple of times with the beveler and marked the grain side of the leather. The leather is vegetable tanned coloured. Is there a way to remove the marks. Thanks Quote
Mark842 Posted October 2, 2017 Report Posted October 2, 2017 Depends how deep the marks are. You can try dampening the area and working it with a modeling spoon. Quote
Members ComputerDoctor Posted November 21, 2017 Members Report Posted November 21, 2017 You can try a fine grade sandpaper. I use 250 grit and sand as easily as possible. I have used a fine brass Dremel wheel applied very lightly. You can always incorporate your 'slip' into the design so it looks deliberate:) Sam Quote
