Leatherhips Report post Posted November 6, 2017 Just finished this piece and it goes to its new home tomorrow, rather sad to see it go as it was fun to make - but then I can always make another one :-) Construction is Horween waxed Essex 1.8-2.0mm - lovely stuff to work with Tiger thread 0.6mm throughout Nickel hardware from the Buckle Guy Zip from a local motor cycle jacket maker - I hate it when zips break, so this one shouldn't, at least not for a long while Client wanted a wide opening, so the edging is leather wrapped round some rubber turbo tubing and cored with a bendable brass rod Handle core is Nulene polycord and its lined with a waterproof rip stop material I know the picture isn't the most glamorous but for some reason it makes me think of both JaJa Binks and a floppy eared rabbit. Either way the bag feels like its shrugging its shoulders. Hope you like it & naturally any thoughts or ideas for the next one greatly appreciated. ByNelson Report post Posted November 7, 2017 Nicely done... if anything.. Maybe the to round things around the zipper should be smaller.. but that’s just my opinion looks very well done!
Caesar Report post Posted November 21, 2017 Looks really good. Just ordered my tools. Was thinking of making a bag as my first project. Should be fun. I think I'm just gonna wing it and see how it goes.
