Members Levins7 Posted November 23, 2017 Members Report Posted November 23, 2017 Hey all, new member and leather hobbyist here. This may be a very dumb question, but can I use super glue to bind edges of multiple layers of leather? I don't have a leather or saddle shop near me, so resources are limited to Hobby Lobby and online. Thanks, JC Quote
Members Mattsbagger Posted November 23, 2017 Members Report Posted November 23, 2017 Better bet is to get contact cement. You can get a small can of Weldwood at Walmart or Home Depot or Lowes or Fleet Farm or Menards or Big R. Depending on where you are at. Quote
garypl Posted November 23, 2017 Report Posted November 23, 2017 I have used super glue to close small edge gaps after sewing pouches without first gluing the leather pieces. Be sure your leather has already been dyed. The glue will make the edges very hard, so will have to sand them again to smooth them out. Quote
