Consew 226 r-1

I have a consew 226r-1 and it was sewing good then out of no where made a noise and the walking foot no longer moves I can' figure it out anyone have any idea what it could be?

have you checked to see if the needle has become jammed in the shuttle hook or has some string got down inside and wrapped around the shuttle hook, either of thiose 2 can contributors can cause the shuttle hook to jam and fail.

Look up the WIZ here he can give you fart grater insite than I

There should be 2-chrome buttons on the bed of the machine,the one on the left is for stitch length,the one on the right is the one for the clutch,It's best to take the motor belt off,push this button down & turn the handwheel backwards until it make a loud snapping noise,then it will be in gear.You need to be sure to thread it correctly ,hold on to the needle thread the first 3-4 stitches ,don't sew off the material & this won't happen again.

I'm pretty sure there's some vids on youtube showing how to do this too.Singer 111w,Juki 562,563 is the same as your Consew if you can't find one on Consew.They also show you threading & oiling.
