garypl Posted January 1, 2018 Report Posted January 1, 2018 Just finished a couple of projects for my sons. First is a laptop case, made from 5-6 oz veg tan, pigskin trim, and a silk liner. Second project is a carrier for a beer growler. Made from 5-6 oz veg tan and darker trim is upholstery leather. Main case dyed saddle tan and finished with a leather finish I made using beeswax, carnuba wax, lanolin, and NFO. Makes a very water resistant finish and I kind of like the antique like finish. Members Rolandranch Posted January 1, 2018 Members Report Posted January 1, 2018 Looks great! I like that laptop case. Did you make the pattern yourself or use one? Quote

I made the pattern myself - measured the laptop and adjusted the pattern as I progressed... Quote Cowboy 4500, Consew 206RB-4
Rossr Posted January 1, 2018 Report Posted January 1, 2018 Like em both , but the growler caddy really caught my eye. Are you stitching on machine? If so what machine? Quote

If so what machine? Thanks Rossr - I stitched most of it using 207 thread in a CB4500. Hand stitched some of it where I couldn’t reach with the machine. Quote Cowboy 4500, Consew 206RB-4
