Members Airth Posted January 25, 2018 Members Report Posted January 25, 2018 I'm adding cloth liners to wallets, and everything is nice and flat when the wallet is open, but crinkles and bunches up along the folds whenever I actually close the wallet. For adhesives, I've tried Barge cement, regular rubber cement and even double-sided tape. I've even adjusted the size of the cloth liner so there isn't an excess of fabric, but for whatever reason I get the same results. Thanks in advance for everyone's insight! Quote
Aart Posted January 28, 2018 Report Posted January 28, 2018 Hi there, why not glue the flat parts of the lining fabric to carton ? Best Aart Quote
Members Norton Custom Leather Posted February 1, 2018 Members Report Posted February 1, 2018 any time you do a project that will fold, you should do said project slightly folded when in production. this will reduce the crinkle. remember the fabric will stretch Quote
Members johnv474 Posted February 4, 2018 Members Report Posted February 4, 2018 What happens if you just glue/stitch the edges of the liner, leaving the center loose? If the liner is not adhered it seems it would not be forced to bunch up. Quote
