Members Krisleather Posted March 13, 2018 Members Report Posted March 13, 2018 Hey all! I'm planning a trip to Florence and Tuscany later this year. Planning to visit the leather school but also want to visit a tannery if possible- maybe even buy some veg tan at the source! Has anyone done this and do you have places to recommend? Thanks! Quote

Members Dreamstitcher Posted March 18, 2018 Members Report Posted March 18, 2018 Hey Krisleather, You could start with the Lineapelle fair in September, where you can view all the Italian (and further afield) tanneries and their speciality articles and new colours of the season. As there are so many of them, this could be a good place to start and to make contacts at the tanneries. You will likely be made very welcome if you already have a contact name when you book your visit at the tannery. Good luck! Quote
