Members WilburLeather Posted April 3, 2018 Members Report Posted April 3, 2018 Using dyes in your leatherwork is really important. I've often found that it's the difference between a mediocre project, and a good project. Despite this, I haven't really seen a good explanation about dyes and using them in your leatherwork. That's why I just made a quick crash course video on using dyes in your leatherwork, which you can find here. I hope you guys enjoy it, and as usual, let me know what you think. Quote
bikermutt07 Posted April 4, 2018 Report Posted April 4, 2018 I think stitching is more of a make or break for a project. I have seen some great stuff with splotchy coloring. But bad stitching just lowers the appearance more than anything, I think. And I'm not saying this to discourage anyone. We are all still learning. Quote I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later.... I have a belt I can finally live with. Stitching is like gravy, it's only great if you make it every day. From Texas but in Bossier City, Louisiana.
