Members kyrrk Posted June 20, 2018 Author Members Report Posted June 20, 2018 I've made a card holder made of chrome tanned leather because I want to practice edge coating. I have this money clip accessory ordered way back, I didn't apply edge coat because I don't have color close to the leather. This is the minimalist money clip wallet (Empty) (Load with card each side and few cash) Pls feel free to visit my Facebook page, YouTube and Instagram . Members DJole Posted June 20, 2018 Members Report Posted June 20, 2018 What nice work! I am happy to see that you were able to develop this into a small business, too. More success to you! Quote \D. Jole \ --> <http://djole.altervista.org/djole/Publications/Leather/Lindex.htm>
Members LetterT Posted June 21, 2018 Members Report Posted June 21, 2018 (edited) Nice touch with the label, I really like how discreet it is and yet still there to show off you mark. I recognize the thread from one of the pictures. Is is a waxed thread sourced from China, it has printed "Galaces thread" on it. I know since I bought some for practice. I have bought 0.8mm and 0.55mm, I have also seen 0.65mm and 0.45mm in sale. 0.8mm is flat, 0.55 is round. I didn't measure exact dimensions yet as I didn't try to stitch it yet. P.S. Where did you get the ABC letters stamp? Edited June 21, 2018 by LetterT Quote

Where did you get the ABC letters stamp? Spot on. There's only limited resources in here, that's why most of my stuff came overseas, specifically in China. I'm still surviving my small business, can't really afford other brand. Which ABC letter? Those for hot stamping, I just got locally. You can check hexnhit on IG. I got my maker's mark from them, they did an excellent job in it. They also offer letter stamps. Both for hot stamping and cold stamping. Have a great day! Edited June 21, 2018 by kyrrk Quote

Members LetterT Posted July 15, 2018 Members Report Posted July 15, 2018 Subscribed :-) I know YT can be a nice way to showcase your work but if I can make a small suggestion here: try to focus on crucial steps in your work, show the details and please, please, slow down. Speeding video can show more of work in less time but after watching for 2 minutes I started feeling dizzy from all the super fasts motion. Quote

I will more focus on steps rather showing all in timelapse. Quote
Members kyrrk Posted July 18, 2018 Author Members Report Posted July 18, 2018 My latest craft and my very first attempt on making a leather bag. Patterns are from etsy, but had to figure out how to put it together myself. Quote
