JBryan Report post Posted September 5, 2018 Hi everyone, I have recently begun leather working and have found myself being asked to make some book covers. I would appreciate any feedback/critiques any of you have. I would like to get better at the craft and any tips and feedback you guys and gals could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Aven Report post Posted September 5, 2018 I like them. If my father was still with us, I'd be asking you to make another of the Big Red One. Nice job.

DpMaquilon Report post Posted September 5, 2018 Looks great to me i really like your artwork! I made one for myself awhile back. I put pen/pencil pockets on mine along with a couple of slide pockets for bits of paper or whatever and it works out well I was gonna make it like you have and put both sides in a pocket but decided to make it a little different with a button closure and this has helped because I can add bigger sheets of paper I might be carrying around with me in there andstill keep it closed here are a couple of pics so you can see what I mean
JBryan Report post Posted September 6, 2018 All, thanks for the words of encouragement! I have found leatherwork to be almost therapeutic and I really enjoy it. If anyone views any areas that I could have done better please post them. I do appreciate all the accolades though! DP - I think your book cover is sweet. I opted not to get to in depth with the internal pockets and such as I am hand sewing and I am not a fan of it! Lol Josh
