Hi everyone,

I have recently begun leather working and have found myself being asked to make some book covers.  I would appreciate any feedback/critiques any of you have. I would like to get better at the craft and any tips and feedback you guys and gals could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Josh

Looks great to me i really like your artwork! I made one for myself awhile back.

I put pen/pencil pockets on mine along with a couple of slide pockets for bits of paper or  whatever and it works out well

I was gonna make it like you have and put both sides in a pocket but decided to make it a little different with a button closure and this has helped because I can add bigger sheets of paper I might be carrying around with me in there andstill keep it closed

here are a couple of pics so you can see what I meanD0EF2710-6854-45DB-A98B-A63A6F4B58F6.jpeg.f89ff458f71cd7ee3d53aac2399b113e.jpegC68F9C53-839F-4CFF-81DD-4760B68CA3E3.jpeg.fe0efd8f000c9cc6700bec47db8a086f.jpeg0150E2E9-0774-4923-A194-9787AD784276.jpeg.701102b0f2ac7929c97365a4657a768d.jpeg79405316-0209-4E0C-A462-A2C46639864A.jpeg.d5ceabed24195f581692ecdacde4d338.jpeg

All, thanks for the words of encouragement! I have found leatherwork to be almost therapeutic and I really enjoy it. If anyone views any areas that I could have done better please post them. I do appreciate all the accolades though!

DP - I think your book cover is sweet. I opted not to get to in depth with the internal pockets and such as I am hand sewing and I am not a fan of it! Lol
