Members FresnoFox Posted September 21, 2018 Members Report Posted September 21, 2018 Will the 225 fit in the Singer 78-1 opening? I am currently using the 78-1 making handbags and it’s doing ok but I found a 225 at a decent price. It has a clutch motor though and I would want a servo. I already have a servo on my 78-1 and it would be much easier if I could just swap out tables. Thanks in advance. Quote
Members Pintodeluxe Posted September 21, 2018 Members Report Posted September 21, 2018 The Consew 225 needs a 18-7/8 x 7-1/8" opening. Quote
CowboyBob Posted September 21, 2018 Report Posted September 21, 2018 Yes,they will interchange, the knee lifts are different & you'll probably have to adjust the belt because the pulleys are a different diameter. Quote
Members FresnoFox Posted September 21, 2018 Author Members Report Posted September 21, 2018 Thank you. I don’t use the knee lift anyway. I learned to sew years ago on a home machine without and just haven’t gotten used to using it. Quote

Now i'm jealous...lol, my 78-1 turned out to have a bent oscillator shaft...I picked up an adler 67 since then and have been using that with the servo, but the 78-1 really needs a home...lol Quote
