Jbrandon Report post Posted October 28, 2018 Oh no...... This is where I always get nervous!
ScoobyNewbie Report post Posted October 28, 2018 Looks good so far.
fredk Report post Posted October 28, 2018 Yes, looking good. I do not do a lot of stamping, but I notice you do not have any guidelines marked. Lightly marked guidelines every few rows can help. The lines would be lost in the stamping
Hildebrand Report post Posted October 28, 2018 It looks great but looking at it I don’t think it’s going to line up, the angles it appears are slightly different. I try to put as long a straight line as possible, in this case maybe put a straight edge down about the middle of the brand and mark lines above ithe brand and below it to work off of. I would love to see the finished product, I have a soft spot for brands. Todd
Jbrandon Report post Posted October 28, 2018 Yes I use guide lines. There was one just past that last row. It's just when you break to go around something that gets a little iffy!
Jbrandon Report post Posted October 28, 2018 I marked guide lines exactly the way you suggested. The angles are really close but I got off enough to not quite match up.

battlemunky Report post Posted October 28, 2018 Yeah, that is a pickle. I think it came out ok. Do you have any pics without the ruler in them?
Hildebrand Report post Posted October 28, 2018 Still looks great. Second vote for picture without the ruler.
Handstitched Report post Posted October 28, 2018 Me and ' basket weave & tri weave' have this.... " love hate relationship " . I love doing it and the lovely pattern it creates, but hate it when it all goes wrong Unless someone knows leather, no-one would ever notice. What colour dye are you going to use ? It looks great HS
battlemunky Report post Posted October 28, 2018 You know, I bet you could "persuade" that to look a little more joined with some love from a modeling spoon on those little bits where they connect. Soooo close though!
Jbrandon Report post Posted October 28, 2018 Thanks. I'll post a picture of it after the dye dries.
Handstitched Report post Posted October 29, 2018 @battlemunky I have used a beveller on my tri-weave on occasion to make it look ......' normal' HS
Jbrandon Report post Posted November 5, 2018 Well here it is all finished up.
noobleather Report post Posted November 5, 2018 That is a really good looking piece of work. I have a basket weave stamping addiction and have been trying to use it with other larger stamps and or lettering and it's really hard to line up. Ruler and a soft lead pencil before casing the leather works for me (sometimes).
battlemunky Report post Posted November 5, 2018 Hardly noticeable! Great job
ScoobyNewbie Report post Posted November 5, 2018 That looks great. My son’s and my efforts turn into “theft protection devices”, nobody can see where to grab them at.
Handstitched Report post Posted November 6, 2018 That is beautiful . The colour is deep , rich and so damn good . Any concerns about the weave lining up are gone Well done HS
