Members DanishMan Posted December 22, 2018 Members Report Posted December 22, 2018 Hi Anyone here with knowledge of a PFAFF 1245 with pneumatic presser lift. I have seen one for sale and it appears to be configured for pneumatic presser lift and bartacking. Obviously a 380 volt motor. Can this be configured for a 220 volt servomotor - and possibly manual presser lift? Brgds Danish Man Quote

Members shoepatcher Posted December 23, 2018 Members Report Posted December 23, 2018 Yep, there is the pneumatic cylinder behind the head. glenn Quote
Members DanishMan Posted December 24, 2018 Author Members Report Posted December 24, 2018 But can the machine be operated without the pneumatic device? Brgds DanishMan Quote
Members shoepatcher Posted December 24, 2018 Members Report Posted December 24, 2018 It means replacing the motor and removing all the "toys" off the machine. glenn Quote
Members Gymnast Posted April 26, 2019 Members Report Posted April 26, 2019 Hi Danishman I was out looking at the same machine today, I think. I would not be able to use it, if air pressure is needed so I would need to modify it. The owner think air pressure is needed. For me it seems to be a significant job to modify it, so I am not interested any more. When i look in the manual for the machine, it seems to be born to use air pressure. /Gymnast Quote

I am not sure, what you mean by "toys". I think there is some pneumatic functions with the motor, to stop it, to make reverse, securing seam, and thread cutter. Is that what you mean by "toys"? Quote
Members dikman Posted April 27, 2019 Members Report Posted April 27, 2019 Yes. The term refers to all the extras/gadgets/etc that you wouldn't get on a "standard" machine. In this case the pneumatic functions, which presumably require the original motor/control box to function. I guess it all depends how badly you want those functions. Quote
