Members Apexpredcustoms Posted March 14, 2019 Members Report Posted March 14, 2019 fairly new to leather work and I make a wide range of projects, however...... I'm growing weary of hand stitching. I'm looking for advice on used machines I should be looking at and ballpark ranges in price ( I live in alberta Canada) Quote
kgg Posted March 14, 2019 Report Posted March 14, 2019 From your bio you mention your speciality is holsters for that I think you are going to need something in the class of a Juki 441 machine probably like the Cobra class 3 or 4 class, Cowboy 3200 or 4500. Since you are in Alberta you may want to checkout Leightons Mach line ( http://www.leightons.ca ) in Red Deer or Longeview Leather ( http://www.longviewleather.com ) Cobra dealer in Longview. See what they recommend and have used capable of sewing your stuff. Another alternative maybe a hand lever machine similar to the Tippmann Boss or the Cowboy Outlaw. Which ever way you decide to go it is not going to be cheap. kgg Quote
Members Bigfoot Posted March 14, 2019 Members Report Posted March 14, 2019 I have a junker & ruh SD28 hand cranked stitcher for sale in the sewing machine section...you can look em up on YouTube to see how they work. originally designed for shoe soles so ideal for heavy leather work..... Quote

Else you get offers from the UK or elsewhere! I see from your IP address that you are at Lacombe. So Leighton's is relatively close to you. Tom Quote
