AndyL1 Report post Posted July 12, 2019 I call this wallet a Galway Trucker. Made it for a friend of mine who hosts a podcast radio show. Dyed with Tandy’s waterstain in Bordeaux (my favorite color to use, it’s so rich!). The liner is a piece of Blackwatch tartan wool. All artwork is laser engraved. I think it came out sweet! 4/5 ounce veg tan all around. A bit beefy, but I’d like it to last a lifetime.

MarkCdub Report post Posted August 3, 2019 I like it alot. I'm working on a simple bifold minimalist wallet and I am having a really hard time cutting out my pattern. I think i need to transfer my pattern to some thicker card stock because nothing lines up right and probably need some sharper blades. Anyway, sorry to hijack your post but I would love some pointers if you have some, T-pockets are my nemesis.
Sperrier Report post Posted August 15, 2019 I love the color, hardware, and entire piece, bravo, well done. I have not put a liner in that few projects I made because I love seeing the back side of the leather showing through. But what you did here looks so clean and professional that I will add that to my design considerations. Did you use an airbrush to apply the black to the edges? Mainly a rectangle folded in half and add a strap. Just start with credit card and bills dimensions and size around that. T-pockets are great! This one takes a bit of patience to do as there are four of them to line up nicely.
toxo Report post Posted August 29, 2019 Nice work again Andy. I know subtle is part of the design but for me I'd like the type to be slightly more readable. Does it say Grinning Beggars? You've certainly woken me up to the desktop laser printer. You use it well.

This is his logo and supplied art so I used what I was given. It might be more legible in person really. Yeah, the laser engraver has been a great tool in my shop! At 7000mw it seemed it had more power than the other cheap ones. I realise now that there's more to it than that. I won't ask too much of it. Just hope it'll be ok. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/7000mW-Offline-USB-Laser-DIY-Logo-Engraver-155x175mm-Cutter-Mark-Machine/133058627180?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3D7c78d5b74a4a49d185e8ca86c22b8a66%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D10%26rkt%3D15%26mehot%3Dlo%26sd%3D133137836229%26itm%3D133058627180%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2481888&_trksid=p2481888.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3Ac34f2482-d8fd-11e9-89d6-74dbd1805e41|parentrq%3A3d545f1916d0ad4a4cebd6c0ffa92ade|iid%3A1 Edited September 17, 2019 by toxo
