FASNAP die's...h-e-l-p.

Recommended Posts

ey! guys..ok so i bought the FASNAP hand press machine at a thrift score..its in good shape but i cant find the 4-piece die set i need that will fit fasnap..and YES this brand has outrageous prices on their website and i've checked elsewhere online including ebay but it appears ONLY fasnap sells fasnap..i am hoping i'm wrong because had i known the die's were going to cost $150 plus shipping, i  wouldnt have bothered with this brand..anyone know if other brand die setters will work with fasnap press machine ? The machine did come with a die set but its too big for what i need (making snap closure's on newsboy caps). Here's a photo to show the setter 4 piece that i DONT need but gives you an idea of dimentions. I already bought a set from our man in Chine..ofcourse after i was assured it would fit a fasnap, it did not.

thanks in advance

I don't know specifically about FASNAP, but those dies look an awful lot like the ones for a Press n Snap. If that's the case you might try Sailrite and maybe even Wawak for dies.

Blue Duck- thanks for weighing in..i spoke with sailrite and they said that only 2 of the dies on my photo's would be a match with their dies so its not a complete match..i am going to try Wawak next..

Cheers

it doesn't give any idea of dimensions - there is no ruler on the pic, no measerments etc.:eusa_naughty:

Dies are pretty specialty high-precision machines parts, and are always somewhat expensive.  sometimes distributors are cheaper than from the manufacturer.  it is not uncommon for a setter die to be in the $50-120 range, more at retail prices.

The good news is they have value when you are done with them.
