BigSiouxSaddlery Report post Posted November 18, 2019 Bruce Johnson leather tools. He restores and sells vintage tools, and they are way better than anything you can buy new. It depends a little on what you're going to be cutting. That wooden strap cutter thing is okay for light stuff, but if you are going to be cutting saddle skirting, heavy veg tan or harness leather, you're going to need a real draw gauge. arashikage Report post Posted November 18, 2019 Weaver Leather Supply is fine. They sell their own line of tools called Master Tools. I think they make the Heritage line too. Most, if not all, of their tools are made in Mt Hope, Ohio. They can be pricey but they are usually nice tools. If you want a classic tool then I would also recommend Bruce Johnson leather tools. I have also seen them on Bruce Johnson from time to time, you might want to read what he has said about them on his site.
