Hey,

I am trying to buy a proper Draw Gauge online.

Quality is the most important thing to me, and I want to get the best return for my money.

Is "Weaver Leathercraft" a good website to buy from?

Thanks for your help,

Karl

Bruce Johnson leather tools.  He restores and sells vintage tools, and they are way better than anything you can buy new.  It depends a little on what you're going to be cutting.  That wooden strap cutter thing is okay for light stuff, but if you are going to be cutting saddle skirting, heavy veg tan or harness leather, you're going to need a real draw gauge.

Weaver Leather Supply is fine. They sell their own line of tools called Master Tools. I think they make the Heritage line too. Most, if not all, of their tools are made in Mt Hope, Ohio. They can be pricey but they are usually nice tools.

If you want a classic tool then I would also recommend Bruce Johnson leather tools. He has quite a few C.S.Osburne gauges for sale right now.

You might want to have a look at a Plough Gauge as well.

You can get other makes such as old Dixons for sale on ebay,  also you can buy new ones like Verez Blanchard and George Barnsley. I  have also seen them on Bruce Johnson from time to time, you might want to read what he has said about them on his site.

Hope this helps
