A 20" split rim truck wheel for a base, 10" steel well casing for a stand, a 24" piece of structural steel for a table top with a 1" square tubing and 3/4 " plywood 3' x 4' table top work surface. Served me well for over 40 years Quote

I mean, if the table needs some adjustment so that it wouldn't 'wiggle'? I have to do some 'unwiggling' myself; in fact, the wife said I need to start thinking about where I can move everything away from the kitchen table....but that's another story for a different day! Yes the bounce comes because it's built into the bench. I am build something on the lines of what Rhon as done and then build the bench back around it. Quote

How far is it from the floor to the top of the granite. I am thinking this is what I need, then i will rebuild the bench around it. this is what I have now. I would like to maintain the same work station with the tombstone. Quote

It works great for me and I sit on a shop stool when I am tooling. I have tooled dozens of belts and hundreds of holsters on mine. Your set up looks nice too. Quote

It looks nice, but that about it. to much bounce. The stuff on the bench floats around on it. I am not getting that solid hit like you are on yours. Quote
