Members dsamarin Posted February 4, 2020 Members Report Posted February 4, 2020 Made a laptop sleeve for my brother's birthday. Unfortunately his laptop just BARELY didn't fit. Measure 3x, cut once, and add an extra inch! Still need to punch the hole for the closure strap and give it away to someone. Overall outside dimensions 10x15 inches. Acadia Shellshock leather, Maine 0.035" thread, cotton flannel lining. A few more pics here: http://imgur.com/gallery/mSAJAYy Quote

Members Retswerb Posted February 6, 2020 Members Report Posted February 6, 2020 Ahhh that’s the worst. Nice looking case, someone smaller-laptopped will enjoy it! Thanks for posting. Quote
Members Dnote Posted February 6, 2020 Members Report Posted February 6, 2020 Man! This looks really nice. I really like the idea of flannel lining. Fyi I use foam core to prototype new designs. It is cheap and easy to cut and staple. Plus it's about the same thickness as 2-3 oz leather so it feels similarm It's saved me a lot of leather. Does anyone else use something different for prototyping? Quote
