Pip Posted March 1, 2008 Report Posted March 1, 2008 My first and second tooled belt pouches, the second one falls off your belt anytime you bend, or breath... but i still like it, the depth of carving is really shallow, cause i couldn't use a mallet, we had complaints from the neighbours, after I made the first one. It took ages to make and it has sat in my leather box ever since cause it don't work as it should.... D'oh. The neighbours have moved since then, oops! and the neighbours on tother side like to see what I make, so don't complain. Quote
Members Spider Posted March 2, 2008 Members Report Posted March 2, 2008 Hey Pip, I really like the first one. Very rugged looking. I like stuff like that. Looks broken in. Quote From the insane mind of SPIDER... http://spiderflesh.com Myspace: Spiderflesh Facebook: Spiderflesh George

Contributing Member BillB Posted March 21, 2008 Contributing Member Report Posted March 21, 2008 It took me a while to finds some of the work I did back in 1970's. Here are three pieces that I was able to find. The first is from a Tandy brief case kit. It was a hard shell brief case with a leather insert in the middle of the top. The second is the seat from a tri-cornered camp stool I did for my father. The third is a purse I did for my wife. It also did service as a diaper bag. Quote Bill B. Nead
Members smudley Posted March 23, 2008 Members Report Posted March 23, 2008 Here are a few of my firsts. I especially like those leggins, or at least I think that's what they're called. The ones that cover your calves and protect them from the exhaust and hot engine. Where can I get the pattern for a set? I've been wanting to make some for when I don't want to wear full chaps, but haven't seen patterns anywhere I've looked. How are they fastened, and how do you keep them from falling down a little? Contributing Member TwinOaks Posted March 23, 2008 Contributing Member Report Posted March 23, 2008 Regrets to inform that all photo evidence of previous leather work is on my recently deceased hard drive (laptop). If'n anybody knows an easy way to retrieve it, I'd love to hear about it. Johanna, Kate, any word on recovery of old files from November-ish of last year? Contributing Member BillB Posted March 24, 2008 Contributing Member Report Posted March 24, 2008 Mike D. There are some companies that will recover data from a "Dead Drive". If it is only the electronics and the "Heads" did not crash onto the recording surfaces, then the data should be recoverable. If the "heads" actually crashed on to the surface while the platters were spinning, then the areas of the crash will be un-readable. Depending on how the data was stored on the disc, this could wipe out a large section of a single file or pieces of several files. It will all depend on how much you want to spend on recovery of the data. In the future, consider backing up the primary data on a secondary drive. Quote Bill B. Nead
David Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 (edited) I can't show you my first project. That was a checkbook cover. I decided to assist the drying process with an oven..... It ended up looking like a potato chip..... ANYWAY. My first bike seat is also lost to history (trash can). But my fourth try ended up on a motorcycle so that's where I'll start. Also showing my LAST seat for Jeff Cochran. I'll throw in the clown seat too as it was my last seat out the door. Edited March 1, 2010 by David Quote
