Members Anticlimaddox Posted August 31, 2020 Members Report Posted August 31, 2020 Quick (and most likely rhetorical) question... When doing a straight line stitch, I get that I want to go back over my starting stitch to lock it in and then again at end. When doing the complete circumference of a piece (like going around a wallet) 360 degrees, do I need to do the same or does overlapping the starting stitch with the end by 2-3 stitches suffice. Thanks // Brian Quote
Northmount Posted August 31, 2020 Report Posted August 31, 2020 need to back stitch over the finish end to lock it. You have already stitched over the start end so it is good to go. Tom Quote
Members Anticlimaddox Posted August 31, 2020 Author Members Report Posted August 31, 2020 Making sure I follow - if I'm going all the way around a piece... start stitching without going back over it overlap the start stitch after going all the way around and then backstitch at the end to close it out and lock it? Members Anticlimaddox Posted August 31, 2020 Author Members Report Posted August 31, 2020 Thanks Tom! - seems obvious when I think about it but don't want anything coming undone. Cheers! Quote
