LiftPig Report post Posted November 13, 2020 (edited) Hello everyone, I've resigned myself that if I want to make this belt the way the customer requests, I'll need to have a custom stamp made. I don't need a big expensive brass stamp. Delryn will work. I'm willing to bet I only use the thing once. I need the stamp to be no larger than 1" tall (going on a belt). Here's an example of the art. If you have a better sample of a Northern Flicker that would look better, I'm all ears. If anyone is willing to make this for me (and have it to me in California, USA within 2 weeks or so), please DM or respond to this message. Cheers, Edited November 13, 2020 by LiftPig
fredk Report post Posted November 13, 2020 Try to find someone with a 3D printer. They might be able to do one for you
HaloJones Report post Posted November 13, 2020 Yes a resin printer would do that easy & get the details, more so than a filament printer. have you a local maker space in your area? I am the wrong side of the pond to help
fredk Report post Posted November 13, 2020 Another idea. One I've been toying with. A 3D 'Doodle' pen. It uses a plastic filament which it melts and its meant for children to doodle-draw. I bought one of the pens and some filament for under £10. Use one of these to lay down a filament line on the lines of your drawing. You may have to go over the lines a couple of times to get some height to them. Once hard again the plastic filament will be hard enough to impress into cased leather
Retswerb Report post Posted November 14, 2020 Have you tried that, @fredk? I’d love to see a pic of the results if so, great idea.
