Ever made a hat?

Recommended Posts

Looking for a pattern for a cap. Best way to say it is that I have a buckethead. I wear a 7 3/4-8 so a regular ballcap when they fit doesn't really look good. What I'm looking for I saw a blacksmith wearing. More of a skullcap with a very short bill. Any ideas??

Keep on Smilin

Jim

Have you try'd doing it in that Wild Things pattern maker? I downloaded it and theres lots of things that you can do to your hats and bags with it. Just a thought.

Hi Zilla, haven't even heard of wild things or whatever. Expand on what it is and where it is and I'll give it a try

Hey Jimmy,

there was an article in an old Leather Crafters and Saddlers Journal on making a ball cap.

All mine are boxed up, but I can try and dig it out for ya.

Jim,

Sorry about the delay, I'm just finishing up the instructions for the hat. I should have it all together this week, and I'll get it out to all that have asked.

I'll send you another pattern as well thats not really a ball cap, but more of a flat top type hat. I think there is one on my web page that you can look at, it's black in color.

Smiling Jim ,check out a WELDING SUPPLY STORE. Welders do wear that type

of cap. It will fit under their welding hoods.Hope this helps.
