Getting a great shine

Hi everyone 

my first time here, I’m just starting out as a leather crafter . I started with this old Swiss military bag I’ve had for years which was dry and hard , I’ve cleaned it and oiled it and now it is softer but I just can’t get a shine on the leather , what top coat would really make it pop ? Thanks

It's a military bag, it shouldn't shine. Yes, I know Prussian spit and polish says otherwise, but they're opposite ends of the Germanophone world and the Swiss in general have something to live for. Fighting military look for shape, shine, silhouette, shadow, as giveaways something's hiding.

If anything, I might put some Atom Wax on it. To make that bag shiny would ruin it.

yes of course you are right, but id quite like to give it a nice shene

not sure what atom wax is, a local to you product id guess, would beeswax do the same ?

No, bee's wax will just make it gummy. The COMPLETE name is Leather Balm with Atom Wax. It is a Fiebing's product.
