Members 327fed Posted October 7, 2021 Members Report Posted October 7, 2021 I put up a little frame lean to with metal sides, no heat to house me an office, leather working, some other manly stuff. My wife had a big upright metal storage cabinet like used in offices. I plan to store my leather ( now in living room floor), unused holsters, etc. I am in a very humid climate. Should I put a light bulb or a gun safe dehumidifier in the cabinet to avoid mold? Don’t want it so hot it will dry out or damage leather. I use light bulbs in my welding rod storage but about all you can get now is led or halogen which produce little heat. I have some old style bulbs bought up but will finally run out. Quote
CFM tsunkasapa Posted October 7, 2021 CFM Report Posted October 7, 2021 I would go with something like this. No heat, no electricity. Just remember to check them every so often. Dri-Z-Air Dehumidifier | Camping World Quote
Members billybopp Posted October 8, 2021 Members Report Posted October 8, 2021 Some sort of dehumidifier might be good. You probably don't want a light source since that could possibly discolor your leather. For just head, I'd probably go with something like this ....https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KLZCDQH?pf_rd_r=2NF2ZEB06JHJEXEK3QN6&pf_rd_p=8fe9b1d0-f378-4356-8bb8-cada7525eadd&pd_rd_r=3bda8aee-7244-45b0-800e-e057d469968b&pd_rd_w=Tf3Nt&pd_rd_wg=07p3y&ref_=pd_gw_unk - Bill Quote
