Tippmann boss secondary tensioner

I just got my new machine in. It was set up for me from the factory...but the thread does not pull smoothly past the secondary tensioner. I have re-threaded several times, completely took the tensioner apart...but nothing works. What am I missing?? I've googled and watched several videos already, but nothing helps.
