freak Report post Posted October 13, 2007 If you don't know. an ambirgram is a word that can be read from 2 diff ways. Either reading the same word or two diff words. In this case it's the two words Jesus and Christ. When held one way it reads Jesus and when flipped over it reads Christ. I used one of the ugliest scraps i had to make this. I wanted it to look used and already worn in. I should of takin a pic of the piece of scrap. you would not believe how marked up it was and yet none of that shows. It still turned out looking not-new and i'm pleased with it. Anyway ....

TimberWolf Report post Posted October 13, 2007 Hey Freak, good job! I like the cuffs and the style of lettering! I have to agree with Beave....the word "ambirgram" is a new one to me too. Well, here in hick-a-billy heaven,(rural Georgia) I haven't heard anyone use the term! LOL! Tim

Mike Phelps Report post Posted October 14, 2007 Nice Job Freak! I'm a big fan of ugly leather. The more bug bites, brands, scars, wrinkles the better. Nice looking stitches. Couldn't tell if they were lined or not. By Monday morning I should have pics of a piece of UGLY, cheap, importedsaddle skirting I'm recovering the stool at my bench with. Cut from the flank/hind leg area so it varies from rock hard,13 oz.-soft 8oz. It's got cuts, scratches etc. from laying under my bench for a year plus it had a serious wrinkle from the tannery. I bought the side during one of Tandy's manager clearance sales from the bottom of the stack for just over $1.00 per sq. ft. Long live cheap ugly leather! Peter Ellis Report post Posted October 14, 2007 Funny word, seems it hasn't made it into the dictionary yet. I can see where it comes from, but I'm another who has never seen it before. Neat project, and a reminder that just because that piece of leather looks beat up doesn't mean you can't make something nice from it.
