If the leather is dampened or completely dry i get these “bubbles” or “blow outs” I’m using V92 thread and a size 20 needle. It does this regardless if I use one or two layers of 2-3oz leather or 4-6oz leather. Quote

Textile needles blow out bubbles on the underside, whereas leatherpoint ones cut diagonal slots.
