Members jonnyharris85 Posted February 13, 2022 Members Report Posted February 13, 2022 I rescued this beautiful machine from rusting in a shed but I can't find anything about its specific model online. Its missing the bobbin and its housing? It needs a lot of work removing rust and getting everything moving again but worth it in the end. Also has anyone any idea how rare this machine is? Quote
Members Constabulary Posted February 13, 2022 Members Report Posted February 13, 2022 (edited) I once restored the short arm version of your machine (kind of) - a 133K3. Not exactly the same in short but very close as it seems. Pictures here may give you and idea what parts are missing on your machine: Oh - BTW - just yesterday some one else posted his 133K darning machine - he probably would sell you some parts (guessing) - check this: Furthermore College Sewing in the UK has a good range of parts for the 133K / 132K but seems they have a website problem. Members jonnyharris85 Posted February 13, 2022 Author Members Report Posted February 13, 2022 @Constabulary I should have just messaged you directly, thank you so much for that info. I think the parts missing are circled in the photo. I will check that website soon. It would be a shame to break up a full machine for parts , darning or not. Quote
Members Constabulary Posted February 13, 2022 Members Report Posted February 13, 2022 (edited) Don´t know where you come from but beside College Sewing Trojan Sewing UK has parts too: https://www.trojansewing.co.uk/product-category/industrial-sewing-machine-spare-parts/singer-industrial-sewing-machine-parts/singer-132-k-industrial-sewing-machie-parts/ You need the top and main tension units some thread guides too and a bobbin winder. Just what I notice from the picture. BTW - the Seiko SK-8 and Mitsubushi DY-253 share a lot of parts with the Singer 132K / 133K machines - just as a hint when looking for parts. Once you have completed it you may need timing values for the needle-hook timing - you find a good manual for the 132K / Seiko SK-8 here in the 1st post (values are the same as for the 133K´s) Edited February 13, 2022 by Constabulary Quote ~ Keep "OLD CAST IRON" alive - it´s worth it ~ Machines in use: - Singer 111G156 - Singer 307G2 - Singer 29K71 - Singer 212G141 - Singer 45D91 - Singer 132K6 - Singer 108W20 - Singer 51WSV2 - Singer 143W2
